1. Job Purpose
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, supporting accounting and taxation assignment and providing accounting data required for Income Tax, GST, Banking, Audits and Banking Finance and Business Advisory assignments.
The role requires strong practical knowledge of accounting principles, Tally, Excel and Indian statutory compliances, together with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
2. Specific Technical Responsibilities
The candidate should be capable of handling or assisting in Accounting:
- Journal entries Purchase and sales accounting
- Cash and bank transactions
- Debtor and creditor accounting
- Expense accounting
- Fixed asset accounting
- Loan and interest accounting
- Advance and deposit accounting
- Provision and outstanding expense accounting
- Ledger scrutiny
- Trial balance review
- Year-end adjustment entries
- Preparation of GST working
- GSTR-1 data preparation
- GSTR-3B data preparation
- ITC reconciliation
- Purchase register vs. GSTR-2B reconciliation
- Sales reconciliation
- GST ledger reconciliation
- Assistance in GST annual return and audit-related data
- TDS calculation and accounting
- TDS payable reconciliation
- TDS return working
- Form 26AS/AIS-related reconciliation
- Preparation of data for ITR Assistance in tax audit working
3. Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of accounting principles
- Practical knowledge of Tally Prime
- Good command of MS Excel
- Knowledge of GST and TDS Understanding of financial statements
- Knowledge of basic taxation and statutory compliance
4. Educational Qualification
Minimum Qualification
B.Com., M.Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter and equivalent qualification
